Wooden sandals

I decided to take a break from studying to do a bit of online window shopping, and I came across these beauties. Chunky wooden sandals tend to make my chicken legs look even more chicken-like, but I can't help but imagine how beautiful these would look this summer! Which color do you like the most? I think the color pair would go best with light wash denim shorts and flowy tees. But, I think the pink pair would be perfect for fancy summer dinner dates.

How to dress for the opera

Have you ever been to an opera? Alex and I are going to see La Traviata tonight, and I'm super excited! To me, going to the opera seems like such a big deal, even if we're not going on opening night.  I'll be wearing something like this...

1. A semi-sheer blouse, which is always romantic and pretty
2. Straight-leg ankle pants in a bright color, since it's a cool, winter tonight
3. Black ankle boots that are comfortable enough for walking to and from the parking lot
4. A pair of sparkly earrings (of course!)

5. A pretty lip stain for a sheer, but deep, color (and easy application!).

6. A dainty minaudière, for carrying only the essentials 

7. A fabulous topper coat, to keep me warm without ruining my outfit!

Midi body-con dress

I love the idea of wearing a fitted dress that has a longer hem. It’s incredibly figure flattering, but the fact that the dress hits just past the knee makes it appropriate for so many more occasions (can’t you just picture wearing one on a romantic dinner date or out shopping with friends?). The other week I came across this little number (in red!) at ASOS and I quickly snatched it up! I can't wait to wear it this spring and summer with fun wedges (and maybe a big sun hat!).

Eeeps! It's November already! Can you believe it?? While I'm still getting used to this sudden surge of autumnal weather, Anthropologie has already changed seasons and moved into winter, featuring pieces in cool mints, blues and silvers, along with festive & sparkly holiday garb!

Fall must-have: Combat boots

I used to think combat boots were ridiculously sloppy and overly trendy, but, now, I'm not so sure...Even though they're made to give off a tough but low-key feel, I think they could look totally cool with a soft blazer and a pair of dark-wash skinnies.

What do you wear?

The last time I asked this question, I was wearing a school uniform every day. But now that I'm in college, I have the freedom to wear whatever I want. From what I've seen, most college students (and most working adults, as well), don't seem to put much effort into what they wear. But I think that what we wear and how we present ourselves gives us the incredible opportunity to dictate to the world how we want people to perceive us. What power!

What do you wear? Day-to-day, I usually stick with dark wash jeans, a nice top and a cute blazer or sweater (and earrings, of course!), but send me to a fancy-pants place and I would totally spring for the ensemble above!

Golden Rose

I recently discovered this amazing shop, and, I must say, I'm already hooked! I'm a sucker for beautiful jewelry, especially jewelry that's handmade, which is why Golden Rose is right up my ally. Shop owner Natalie comes up with the most beautiful pieces that give off such a warm, beachy feel. I'd have to say my favorite piece is her rose gold hoop earrings (in a stunning satin finish!). Hoops are always so classic and timeless, but the rose gold and satin finish give them a chic and modern twist.

I'm back! + Feels like fall...

It's been too long, y'all. It's been way too long...

School has been KICKING MY BUTT lately! And I'm so bummed that I haven't been blogging as often as usual. But, I'm back! And what better way to welcome myself back than by talking about fall?? 

Autumn is, by far, my favorite season. There's colorful foliage, crisp, cool air, denim jackets and the color burgundy...basically, all that's right with the world! I'm so looking forward wearing chic sweaters with brown leather boots, and knit dresses with my leopard print flats.

What are you looking forward to most this fall? It's such a romantic season, don't you think?

Avarca sandals

Walking around campus can really do a number on your feet! That's why I've been swooning over these Avarca sandals, which are a staple for locals in many of Spain's major cities, especially Menorca. They're handmade in Spain and have rubber soles crafted from recycled tires, which means they're super comfortable and eco-friendly, yay!

Wouldn't these be fabulous to wear during the last few weeks of summer? I'd buy a wedged pair, since wedges are always so feminine :)

I love these shorts! The color would literally flatter anyone and the tush-skimming fabric provides just a touch a whimsy. 

Button-down chambray shirts

Do you own one? I'm kind of surprised that I don't...they're a wardrobe staple! I love this button down from J.Crew. I can imagine wearing it right now, while it's blazing hot, and as the seasons change and it starts to get cooler.

Graphic print summer dress

Even though I love dresses, I don't wear them that often. A couple of weeks ago, I picked up this H&M dress, featuring a bright graphic print. The colors are fresh, the cut is quite flattering and, despite the bold print, it's very versatile! It's such a fun spin on the typical summer day dress (especially considering it's perfect for wearing during the evening, as well!).
