The perfect summer dress

How lovely is this dress for summer? The diaphanous fabric will leave you perfectly cool on those

hot summer days, and the unique print is eye catching and fresh. Plus, it's super easy to dress up or

down, with thick wedges and a beaded clutch for al fresco dinners, and easy Bensimon sneakers

for bike rides and picnic lunches.

Wooden sandals

I decided to take a break from studying to do a bit of online window shopping, and I came across these beauties. Chunky wooden sandals tend to make my chicken legs look even more chicken-like, but I can't help but imagine how beautiful these would look this summer! Which color do you like the most? I think the color pair would go best with light wash denim shorts and flowy tees. But, I think the pink pair would be perfect for fancy summer dinner dates.

Graphic print summer dress

Even though I love dresses, I don't wear them that often. A couple of weeks ago, I picked up this H&M dress, featuring a bright graphic print. The colors are fresh, the cut is quite flattering and, despite the bold print, it's very versatile! It's such a fun spin on the typical summer day dress (especially considering it's perfect for wearing during the evening, as well!).

Do or don't: Head wraps

This isn't really a question. Of course they're a 'do'! Not only are they a brilliant way to protect your tresses during the colder months, but they also can look perfectly festive and summery at the beach or while riding your bike. Here are a few of my favorite head wrap styles after the jump!

The perfect summer shorts

I love these pink alice + olivia cuff shorts. The slit back pockets are incredibly flattering and the cuffed hem makes them juuuust short enough!

Lazy green blazer

This is such a universally flattering shade of green, and the silky material makes it perfect for evening summer parties.

Do or don't: Orange lip color

During our recent shopping spree, my mom and I stopped in Sephora to check out some eyeshadows. While we were there, she came across 'Wonder' by NARS, which the NARS website describes as a "sheer mandarin orange with pink and gold shimmer". It looked great against her warm skin tone and would look even greater over a orangish-red lipstick like 'So Chaud' by MAC. 

Would you wear an orange lip color? What about something orangey-red? I just think it looks so bright and fresh for spring and summer!

Abundant angles bikini

I've already gotten my swimsuit for this summer, but I think this bikini from Anthro is fantastic!

Do or don't: Boots during summer

Granted, these women all look gorgeous, but just the thought of wearing boots in the hot summer weather makes my feet sweat! My sister loves this trend, but I just don't get it. What about you? Do you fancy wearing boots in the summer?

Maxi skirts

Maxi skirts are great for summer, but they're also just as great for fall. I own a maxi skirt myself and I wear it all the time. This lovely lady seems to wear hers so well. I especially love that she accessorized it with my favorite kind of sunglasses! It looks so nice on her, I'd have no problem sporting that lovely skirt myself...especially if that gorgeous Chanel bag comes along with it.
