It's been cloudy and hinting of rain all day, which typically makes for terrible hair days. But no matter! All the more reason to try out pretty updos that you wouldn't normally wear!

Speaking of updos, Prom season is in full swing! I still haven't decided if I'm going to bombard this blog with all of my prom musings, but we'll see...

Leather backpacks

It seems like the only people that I ever see carrying one of these nifty leather backpacks are super artsy people, who wear groovy sunglasses and spend part of their afternoon sketching in Starbucks. Maybe that's why I love them so much!

Quick hair tip

If you're planning on flat ironing your hair, prep your hair by doing a a protein treatment, rich in hydrolyzed proteins, followed by a moisturizing deep conditioning treatment. The hydrolyzed proteins will penetrate the hair shaft, compared to other proteins that just sit on the surface, which will fortify your strands and help to minimize heat damage and breakage. The moisturizing conditioner with impart moisture, improve elasticity, and give you tons of shine!
