Things to do: Road trip

Do you have a bucket list? I've never formally written mine down, but one of the activities that tops my life's to do list is to go on a road trip! Just a couple of friends, loaded into a ridiculous RV, on the road for a week, and stopping along the way to take in the scenery and enjoy each other's crazy company. Maybe next summer? Hmm...

Have you ever been on a road trip? Where'd you go?

In-flight beauty tips!

Before the Moms and I zip off for our beach vacation, I wanted to pop on by and let you all know about the beauty routine that I plan on implementing en route to Jamaica. Even though my flight will only be about three hours, I figure it's still a good idea to act as though I'm preparing for a long-haul flight by so that I emerge from the flight with fresh-looking skin and well-moisturized hair.

I want to go to there: Outdoor-indoor spaces

I've recently taken a liking to the idea of incorporating nature into one's living space. It's such a peaceful, inviting concept, and it's so easy to be done in an innovating and modern way. I'd just love to wake up to the feeling of cool, damp air and the smell of pine and spruce in this quaint cabin in Finland. And can you imagine napping in this glass lake house (complete with a turntable, of course!)?  Just think how refreshing it would be to cool off in a sparkling infinity pool as you reach out an feel the fronds of a nearby palm tree!

What's your take on outdoor-indoor living?

Do you like to travel?

Lately, I've been thinking about where I would like to go for summer vacation, and one of my top choices is Italy. I'd love to see everything from the beautiful waters along the golden coastline to the charming hilltops of the romantic countryside. And of course I'd have to stop by a few of the major cities to admire the stunning architecture and indulge in some true Italian shopping!

That being said, I must say that I really hate traveling. Not actually being at my destination, but packing, unpacking, planning, carrying luggage, etc. all drives me BONKERS! But, for a trip to Italy, I would be more than willing to face the headache!

How about you? Do you like to travel?

Right this moment, I'd love to visit...

Paris! The City of Love & Lights. A few weeks ago, I saw the movie Midnight in Paris, and it reawakened my urge to visit this lovely city. I can't wait to someday ride a bike to a tiny cafĂ© where I'll taste a real Parisian croissant, and at sunset go for a cruise down the Seine River. Also, I'd love to experience the gorgeous architecture of the Notre Dame Cathedral and the stunning artwork at The Louvre!
And with all the gorgeous Parisian fashion to admire, I wouldn't be able to resist exploring such a charming city without these lovely flats.

What about you? If you could drop everything right now, where would you zip off to?

Wedding Wednesday: Honeymoons

I came across the following honeymoon spots while browsing Mr. and Mrs. Smith, a brilliant website that finds luxury and boutique hotels. So, picture this: You've just had the wedding of your dreams and wake up the next morning with your fresh-out-the-box hubby, ready to skeedaddle and head straight for the airport. What's your destination?

The African savannah, where you'll stay in a tented lodge and look on as the land's creatures saunter through the wide-open plains.

A posh New York hotel that puts you right in the middle of SoHo and features a rooftop bar and its unrestricted view of Gotham City.

A Rocky Mountain ski lodge, where you'll don your snow boots and ride the slopes by day, and look out over the mountains from your suite by night.

An Italian B&B that's set high on a hill and surrounded by lush gardens and rangy valleys that provide a perfectly rustic landscape for romantic walks with your dearly beloved.

The beaches of the Philippines, where you can step out from your suite or villa and jump right into the ocean, or have a delicious plate of Mediterranean salad while your husband goes snorkeling.

Which one of these enticing honeymoons would you take?
