I couldn't get over these stunning photos of this gorgeous bride, Monique, who wed her husband, Josh, on a drizzly campground in New Hampshire this past June. Her gown is just so elegant, and I love her simple rose bouquet, beautiful loc updo, and chic cardigan.
How fantastic are these photos? The fabric and color of the skirt are both so striking, and I just can't get enough of her black studded bag! It adds just the right amount of contrast to the soft skirt and tee. Plus, don't you just love her hair?
These snakeskin pants are staggeringly awesome. And I absolutely love how she incorporated the tortoise shell sunnies! Do you own anything that's snakeskin? What about some snakeskin pants?
Do you ever wear one color from head to toe? If I ever catch myself wearing the same color all over, I usually try to break it up by wearing a colorful pair of earrings or my sister's red bag that I stole have borrowed for the summer. I like how the lady above has dressed cap-a-pie in tan (even her shopping bags!), but varies the shades and textures to add dimension and visual interest.
Maxi skirts are great for summer, but they're also just as great for fall. I own a maxi skirt myself and I wear it all the time. This lovely lady seems to wear hers so well. I especially love that she accessorized it with my favorite kind of sunglasses! It looks so nice on her, I'd have no problem sporting that lovely skirt myself...especially if that gorgeous Chanel bag comes along with it.
Do you own any maxi skirts? What's your favorite way to wear them?
I think red lipstick is so womanly, classic and versatile. Plus, it's the perfect way to amp up a simple look, as this pretty girl proves wonderfully. Do you wear red lipstick? What's your favorite kind?
This picture of Diana and Traci Ellis Ross reminds me of how much I wish my mom had kept some of her clothes from her teens and twenties for me to wear. Even just some nifty high-waisted jeans or a pair of her obnoxiously huge glasses. Do you like to wear some of your mom's older clothes? What about grandma's vintage pieces?
I really love mixing prints, which is why I think Ece Sükan looks so fun in this photo. The flounce of her skirt and sheerness of her blouse is perfectly balanced by the neutral tones of the prints and her accessories. Plus, I love the look of her round shades peeking out from behind her wavy hair.
I think having a gap between your teeth is sort of charming and quirky. There's just something imperfectly authentic about a pretty woman's diastema. Plus, depending on who you ask, gapped teeth are taken as a sign of luck, lechery or wanderlust!
I love the top bun that this San Francisco beauty is sporting. It looks so effortless and the lovely texture of her curls plays up her face so nicely. I can only imagine how pretty she looks when her lovely locks are tumbling over her shoulders. Do you like this easy-breezy hairstyle? Is your hair curly? Also, what do you think of her sunnies? I've tried on some like that were quite similar, but they just made my face look really big!
I absolutely love Adele. Her soulful voice is so intriguing and refreshing. Every time I listen to her I feel like I should be sipping tea on a rainy afternoon or quietly chatting with my best friend Al in a cozy nook in a coffee shop. Plus, her porcelain skin, shapely figure and strong accent offer such a lovely breath of fresh air to an otherwise suffocatingly homogenous industry. What do you think of Adele?
P.S. I just think her makeup is so pretty and feminine! You can try her signature look here.
