Wooden sandals

I decided to take a break from studying to do a bit of online window shopping, and I came across these beauties. Chunky wooden sandals tend to make my chicken legs look even more chicken-like, but I can't help but imagine how beautiful these would look this summer! Which color do you like the most? I think the color pair would go best with light wash denim shorts and flowy tees. But, I think the pink pair would be perfect for fancy summer dinner dates.

Which pair would you pick?

Anthropologie August 2012 Catalogue

August is a transitional month in the fashion world as designers and clothing stores start releasing their fall collections and pieces. Anthropologie's latest catalogue does a pretty good job of capturing this transitional phase, featuring a lovely juxtaposition of soft autumnal hues and bright jewel tones, trendy florals and pretty lace, and, of course, cute cardigans and pullovers. See my favorites after the jump!

Anthropologie July 2012 Catalogue

I must say, I'm really impressed with Anthro's latest catalogue. There wasn't a single thing I didn't like! The shoes are absolutely spectacular, the jewelry is stunning, and exciting prints and bright splashes of color light up each page! The fact that the catalogue was shot in New Orleans only added to the enjoyment factor. Here are the (tons of) pieces that made it to the top of my wish list:

Anthropologie June 2012 Catalogue

Hmmm...this month's Anthro catalogue seemed a bit sparse to me and it was kind of  hard to find a bunch of stuff that I liked, like I normally do. Nevertheless, I was able to come up with a few pieces that I truly loved. Have a peek!

Anthropologie May 2012 Catalogue

This month, Anthro set a wonderful tone right from the get-go by choosing an up-close, straight-on image of a wonderfully curly-haired model to be their cover photo. As soon as I saw this in my mailbox, I immediately flipped it open and started making mental notes of what I liked. Have a peek and see what really caught my eye!

Would you wear flatforms?

Ugh! This is one trend I wish would just die! Flatforms. They're not flats, but they're not wedges. Bleh. I just don't get it. What do you guys think?

Anthropologie February 2012 Catalogue

I'm not sure about how I feel about this month's catalogue. Perhaps it's particularly odd-looking models, or maybe it's the styling. Nevertheless, Anthropologie still always manages to deliver, one way or another. Therefore, I have for you, once again, my favorite picks for this month!

The perfect long-sleeve dress

I really love this Bailey 44 dress from Anthropologie. It's a spin-off of this boatneck midi dress, which Anthro's loyal customers quickly flocked to as soon as it hit the racks. Although both versions are absolutely lovely and totally versatile, I love the newer frock's shorter hem and longer sleeves just a little bit more.

What do you think of this dress? Do you like the longer one more?

Which dress would you wear to a holiday party?

♫ 'Tis the season for holiday parties!  Yippee! It's holiday party season and your friend has just invited you to a party, where there's sure to be tons of egg nog and people in festive spirits! What do you wear?

A perfectly girly A-line dress with a tulle skirt, like the one above.
A gold number with a cutout neckline.

A slinky, black, column dress (This...).

A full-skirted party dress in a brocade print.

A drapey silk frock in a gorgeous teal green (...or this would be my pick!).

Which one catches your eye?
