Tattoo People

 I love to sculpt and I always appreciate the intricacy that goes along with creating a beautiful sculpture. I think that's why I so greatly admire the work of tattoo artists. I would never get a tattoo myself, but there's something about the detail of a really great tattoo that I think makes tattooers such meritorious members of the art community. What do you think of these tattoos? Do you have any? Would you ever get any?

Blue Velvet

Check out fashion photographer Lukasz Pukowiec's Blue Velvet editorial of model Mariana Idzkowska in Papercut Magazine. I'm not sure where the title of the spread comes from, but I like it! Mariana is wearing the stunning designs of Alexander McQueen, Chanel, and Louis Vuitton among others. Everything about this shoot is ultra-feminine, from the ruffly shoulder accents to the girly color palette and softly curled hair.

Have a lovely weekend

Today, Al and I went to see Transformers 3 and tomorrow Dad and I will spend the day together as Mom is out of town. Sunday we'll have a 4th of July dinner with the fam where I'll finally get to meet Traci's baby Savannah! What are you up to this holiday weekend? BBQ-ing? Beach? Just relaxin'? Do tell!

Girl Crush: Adele

I absolutely love Adele. Her soulful voice is so intriguing and refreshing. Every time I listen to her I feel like I should be sipping tea on a rainy afternoon or quietly chatting with my best friend Al in a cozy nook in a coffee shop. Plus, her porcelain skin, shapely figure and strong accent offer such a lovely breath of fresh air to an otherwise suffocatingly homogenous industry. What do you think of Adele?

Do or don't: Turbans

This beauty seems to be rocking the trend wonderfully, but what do you think? I like turbans as a chic alternative to wearing natural hair out and I love it on the runway, but...I dunno, maybe I'll like it better in autumn and winter. Would you rock this trend? Have you ever tried it?
