Have a relaxing weekend...

Argh! I can't believe I haven't blogged all week! This week has been so incredibly tiring and busy, but everything will be back to normal on Monday.
Hopefully, this weekend I'll be getting a lot of rest. Then maybe I'll find time to pick up a blazer from Zara and help a friend pick out her prom dress! What are you up to? Watching the tide roll in? Buying a snazzy new blazer? Helping a friend move? Do tell!

I love red nail polish. It's such a bold, yet classic, no fail color. And even with all of the newest hues, finishes and textures floating about, there's just something so beautiful about a glossy red nail varnish.

And at Target, no less! To be fair I didn't find these gems all on my own....a fellow blogger gave me a bit of a heads up. Nonetheless, I'm thrilled! Especially considering they're just as great as the Current/Elliott version, above, but for a tenth of the price! Can't wait to wear these all spring, summer and fall.

Hopefully, I'll finish the last of my prom shopping this weekend. So far I have my dress, clutch, and earrings, which really only leaves the shoes! Then, on Sunday, I'll be celebrating my dad's birthday! What are you guys up to? Petting a sweet elephant? Going to the local fair? Trying out a vegan restaurant? Do tell!

Leather backpacks

It seems like the only people that I ever see carrying one of these nifty leather backpacks are super artsy people, who wear groovy sunglasses and spend part of their afternoon sketching in Starbucks. Maybe that's why I love them so much!

Quick hair tip

If you're planning on flat ironing your hair, prep your hair by doing a a protein treatment, rich in hydrolyzed proteins, followed by a moisturizing deep conditioning treatment.
