A Guide to Summer Weddings: Wedding nails

wedding nails.
Along with your choosing hairstyle and makeup, deciding on a nail polish color is a key beauty element that plays into your big day.  Whether you're a bride who wants to rock a little bling, or a bride who prefers simplicity, there's a hue out there that will give you the ideal bridal look that you want to achieve. Here are seven perfectly-viable shades, all by Essie, that are fit for a bride.

1. Powder blue for your 'something blue.
2. Pretty and feminine dusty rose.
3. Classic, no-fail nude.
4. Glamorous and vampy fire engine red.
5. Unpredictable and modern hot pink.
6. Soft and sophisticated metallic.

Which hue would you wear?

Do or don't: Head wraps

This isn't really a question. Of course they're a 'do'! Not only are they a brilliant way to protect your tresses during the colder months, but they also can look perfectly festive and summery at the beach or while riding your bike. Here are a few of my favorite head wrap styles after the jump!

Have a luxurious weekend!

Tomorrow I'll be treating my hair to a delicious deep treatment (recipe coming soon!). I'll also be making my way over to the fabric store, where I'll hopefully buy a few yards of fabric so I can make some head wraps for the colder months!

What are you doing this weekend? Treating your hair to something special? Lying out in the sun? Going to a festival? Do tell!

The perfect summer shorts

I love these pink alice + olivia cuff shorts. The slit back pockets are incredibly flattering and the cuffed hem makes them juuuust short enough!

Anthropologie July 2012 Catalogue

I must say, I'm really impressed with Anthro's latest catalogue. There wasn't a single thing I didn't like! The shoes are absolutely spectacular, the jewelry is stunning, and exciting prints and bright splashes of color light up each page! The fact that the catalogue was shot in New Orleans only added to the enjoyment factor. Here are the (tons of) pieces that made it to the top of my wish list:
