Fall must-have: Combat boots

I used to think combat boots were ridiculously sloppy and overly trendy, but, now, I'm not so sure...Even though they're made to give off a tough but low-key feel, I think they could look totally cool with a soft blazer and a pair of dark-wash skinnies.

What do you think? Do you own a pair of combat boots? I love this pair by Steve Madden, as well as this amazing heeled pair!
